NATIONAL ELECTRIFICATION AWARENESS MONTH (NEAM)

ADOPT-A-HOUSE PROJECT

In line with the activities lined up for this month’s National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM) Celebration, MORESCO II kicks off its Adopt-A-House project. The first recipients of the said project are from the municipality of Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental.

ADOPT-A-HOUSE PROJECT is a concerted effort of MORESCO II Board, Management and employees wherein each employee voluntarily choose and adopt a household to be energized. All processes involved for this free electrical service connection such as securing the Building Permit and Electrical/Municipal Permit is executed by the employee. This project aims to effectively align consumer and employee values and further establish a better understanding and appreciation of electric cooperatives and the rural electrification program.

This project was made possible through the support of the Local Government Unit of Magsaysay, and the sponsors which are Maxter Resources and Golden Arrow Electrocare Corporation.

Moreover, MORESCO II is also set to hold a Feeding Activity, Tree Growing Activity and a Medical Mission this coming August 31, 2018 in Barangay Eureka, Gingoog City.

This Tree Growing Activity is planned for sustainability wherein MORESCO II employees will provide after-care services to these seedlings. This ten (10) hectare land for tree growing is donated by the Barangay Chairman of Barangay Eureka, Poferio Yamit Duque, Jr. This area is also set to be created as an eco-park to further promote the unspoiled beauty and boost the local economy of the area.

National Electrification Awareness Month Celebration

To cap off this month’s National Electrification Awareness Month Celebration which coincides with the 49th Founding Anniversary of the National Electrification Administration, MORESCO II conducted a Tree Planting/Growing Activity, Feeding Activity, Line Clearing Activity and a Medical Mission in Barangay Eureka, Gingoog City.

As this year’s celebration higlights the invaluable contributions of electrification towards nation building, MORESCO II’s initiative also focuses on involving the member consumer owners (MCOs) through the said activities.

The activity’s success was made possible through the continuous support of MORESCO II partners; the provincial government of Misamis Oriental thru Gobernador BAMBI EMANO, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), FDC Misamis Power Corporation – Cadets (Official), King Energy Generation Inc. (KEGI), Maxter Resources Inc., Golden Arrow Electrocare, CENRO – Gingoog, government medical practitioners, Barangay Eureka Barangay Chairman Hon. Poferio Y. Duque, Jr., BECEMCs and the member consumer owners of MORESCO II.

Tree Planting / Growing Activity @ Brgy. Eureka, Gingoog City

A Tree Planting/Growing Activity was conducted today, August 31, 2018 at Barangay Eureka, Gingoog City. Barangay local officials headed by Barangay Chairman Poferio Duque Jr., BECEMCs, MCOs, CENRO – Gingoog, and other private agencies such as FDC, joined in the effort of preserving and nurturing the environment. Today, MORESCO II was able to plant 500 mahogany seedlings.

NATIONWIDE CANDLE LIGHTING ACTIVITY

MORESCO II joins the NATIONWIDE CANDLE LIGHTING ACTIVITY of the 121 Electric Cooperatives in the country on August 31, 2018.

As of present, MORESCO II has 129 unenergized sitios left under its entire franchise area. MORESCO II commits to reach out and deliver services even to the most far flung areas.
